We are spring breaking here and so much going on!
(Hope I don't leave something out.)
First up...Hannah was accepted into ASFA!!! Whoooohoooo! Our third child to get into this outstanding school! We are very excited for her! She was one of several hundred kids that applied this year. And only a handful got in due to funding issues (proration is everywhere), so we are EXTRA proud.
Next, we got a wonderful surprise from Nana and Grandad...a trip to the beach! The weather was absolutely incredible. Perfect days with barely a cloud in the sky, just warm enough/but not too warm! We had such a great time!! We stayed at Portofino (which is beginning to feel like our home away from home.) The kids did the beach, collected shells, played in the sand...
swam in the heated pools...
paddled around in kayaks...
and then relaxed in the jacuzzi tub.
It was a FABULOUS time and we heartily thank you Nana/Grandad!
Back at home, we've been working hard to get some homeschool work done, practice our violins and do some spring cleaning (serious need for that one!) Did a ton of laundry...whew!
Then we celebrated a fun St.Patrick's Day with traditional foods: corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, and also the ever popular ramen-noodles-with-green-food-coloring-added. Ew.
Today was Josh's 7th Gotcha Day anniversary, time really flies by. We marked the day with Russian brown bread with pashka, a chocolate cake and Cheburashka videos.
Now Moriah has gone back to the UAB campus to spend some time with friends and have some weekend fun before classes start back on Monday.
So finally this evening, I am taking it easy and surfing the web.
Found a chance to win this awesome camera on a friend's blog...and you can tell, I could use some help with my photography. Great fundraising cause here: this family is adopting from China - the cutest little boy ever! Check it out! Really! You can't win if you don't enter!
Two more days and back to our regular grind...
Spring break was way too short!
Amy
