Then it got pretty interesting here just after dark last night.
Jim spent the whole night cleaning up fallen trees and debris and firing up the generators and so on.
Nobody hurt near us, but plenty of property damage.
Nothing like the devastation in Tuscaloosa, of course, but a mess.
So so so ready for our weather to settle down now.
Some of our "topless" silos.
The ones with feed in them held together. The ones without, didn't.
See the big crack at the bottom of this one?
It will fall when it is emptied.
This one is the leaning tower.
Some of the torn up cow sheds/freestall barns.
More of the same.
Better view of the silos.
I didn't take too many pictures of torn up trees. But, they are EVERYWHERE around the dairy. Big mess. Trees were falling all day due to the wind and rain-soaked ground. So when the tornados got to blowing, they fell over/broke off by the dozens.
Hope things were quieter where you are.
Stay safe everyone...
Amy
